About Leonie Brassey

Leonie is a Rural Financial Counsellor based in St George. She supports South West Queensland primary producers in Bulloo, Paroo, Balonne and Quilpie areas.

Over the last 10 years, Leonie has primarily worked in banking as a Credit Analyst with Rabobank and more recently Rural Relationship Manager with Suncorp in St George.

Growing up on a sheep farm in Victoria before moving to a dryland/cotton farm near Moree and later running an avocado farm in Hampton with her husband for 10 years, Leonie has experience across different farming operations and farming regions. This gives her a first-hand understanding of the pressures and tough decisions primary producers face.

With hands-on experience and a wide understanding of rural banking, Leonie looks forward to helping her clients achieve positive outcomes.

Leonie is a people person and loves her community. She enjoys helping communities stay connected and work together. In her spare time, Leonie loves to spend time with family as well as running, waterskiing, reading and gardening.

She works with a team of Financial Counsellors located throughout Southern Queensland.
